
Rev. James L. Sorra (Administrator)
Fr. Jim Sorra was born in the Philipines and immigrated with his family to the United States at a very young age. He grew up in a large family as the 7th of 8 children in Baltimore County. Fr. Jim received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park. He also attended the School of Law at Howard University in Washington, D.C. and worked in accounting and project management before entering the seminary. He received his S.T.B. and M. Div. from St. Mary's Seminary and University, Roland Park, and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Baltimore in 2006. Fr. Jim comes to St. Michael's from St. Louis, Clarksville where he was Associate Pastor from July 2006 to July 2009.

Deacon Henry Davis (Pastoral Associate)
Serving as Pastoral Associate since September 2001, Deacon Henry Davis works in the areas of community life, evangelization,scheduling, and pastoral outreach. Ordained a permanent deacon by Archbishop Borders on October 25, 1987 Deacon Henry spent 26 years in the Air Force system, was a motorcycle police officer, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a middle management postmaster. His interests include riding his motorcycle, watching classic movies, and, most of all, his family. He and his wife, Mary, have been married for over 50 years and have four sons, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Mrs. Nikki Lux (Director of Faith Formation)
Nikki Lux started as our Director of Faith Formation on July 1, 2008 after serving in the same capacity at St. Mary's parish in Pylesville, MD. Nikki has a great enthusiasm for sharing the good news of our faith. Her responsibilities include overseeing our children's faith formation and God's Little People pre-school programs, preparation programs for Reconciliation, Eucharist, Confirmation, and Marriage, adult faith formation, catechist formation, RCIA, and child protection programs.

Mrs. Patricia Kelly (School Principal)
Pat Kelly has served as principal of St. Michael's School since 1997, the first lay person to serve in that capacity. Prior to coming to St. Michael's she taught middle school social studies at Shrine of the Sacred Heart School in Mt. Washington. She holds advanced degrees in educational administration and still enjoys teaching social studies in our school. She is married to Mike, and has three grown children.

Mr. Robert Wuenschel (Assistant Principal)
Bob Wuenschel is a St. Michael's institution, having taught language arts for several years before assuming the position of assistant principal. Still a vibrant presence in the classroom, he is known for his engaging style and is proud of the fact that he has even taught some of the parents of our students!

Mrs. Jo Anne Ibex (Director of Music and Liturgy)
Jo Anne Ibex grew up in St. Michael's parish and graduated from our parish school in 1967. She attended Florida State University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Music. She has served at the Director of Music and Liturgy since July, 2000. Jo Anne oversees the music ministry programs as well as the liturgical life of our parish community.

Mrs. Corinna Sibiski (Director of Development)
Corinna has served as Director of Development at St. Michael's since February, 2002. She coordinates various fundraising efforts as well as public relations actvities. She is a graduate of The Catholic High School of Baltimore and received her bachelor's degree in Mass & Speech Communications from Towson University, where she graduated with honors. She is married to Ben and they have two children: Natalie ('07) and A.J. ('08). An active parishioner of St. Michael's, Corinna serves as a lector, extraordinary minister of the Eucharist, and facilitates a Why Catholic group.

Mrs. Kathleen Misek (Parish Business Manager)
Kathie Misek came to us in May, 2002 as secretary/bookkeeper. In September, 2005 she became Parish Business Manager. Kathie's responsibilities include management of the parish office, payroll, employee benefits, and accounting for both the parish and school. She has also worked at the Catholic Center as well as Church of the Nativity (Timonium). Her interests include crocheting, quilting, cross-stitching, and animals. She lives in Overlea with her husband, Rick, as well as her cat and dog Eddie Michael and Archie. Unlike her pets, she does bite, so watch out!

Mr. Thomas Wagner (Maintenance Supervisor)
Tom Wagner has been the Maintenance Supervisor since 2006. Tom oversees the parish facilities and insures that our buildings are in good repair. He also sits on the parish Buildings and Properties Committee, planning for long term capital repairs and improvements.

Mrs. Linda Crawford (Secretary)
Linda Crawford started work in our parish office in 2005. Having served in similar positions at Ss. James and John Elementary School in East Baltimore and Corpus Christi parish in Bolton Hill, Linda brings much experience to her job. She greets visitors to the Parish Office and her responsibilities include overseeing the parish registration process, maintaining parish files and sacramental records, scheduling mass intentions, coordinating parish mailings, doing the parish bulletin, ordering supplies ... all the nuts and bolts involved in an office. Linda possesses a Bachelor's degree and did gradulate level coursework at Johns Hopkins University.

Mrs. Jo Ann Livingston (Secretary)
Jo Ann came to work at St. Michael's as a secretary in 2003. She works in the parish office and supports the administrative activities of the religious education office, God's Little People Pre-School, as well as the parish office.

Mrs. Paula Dossa (School Office Manager)
Paula Dossa began working in the school stationery store in 1994. She began working in the school office as a secretary in the spring of 1995. In 2006 her title was changed to School Office Manager. Paula oversees the running of the school office, along with the Scrip program, the milk program, and works in our extended care program. She lives in Parkville with her husband Rick and their golden retriever Sandi. Her family also includes son Kevin and his wife Theresa and son Brandon and his wife Jessica, as well as her mother Garneth. Outside of school life she enjoys reading, bowling, candy making, and crafts. She is also a very prominet presence at our annual Christmas Bazaar!

Mrs. Kathy Schmidt (School Tuition)
After volunteering for six years, Kathy Schmidt was hired as school bookkeeper/tuition manager in June, 1993. She oversees the collection of all tuition and fees. Kathy worked for 19 1/2 years for the State Highway Administration in the mapping department. Kathy lives in Perry Hall with her husband Carl and son Phil. Every Thursday is bowling day for Kathy. She is an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist, along with Carl and Phil.

Mr. James Kraus (Director of Contemporary Music)
Jim Kraus began singing in our Contemporary Music Ensemble, and has directed the group since the early 1990's. By day he is a school administrator in the Baltimore City public school system. He and his wife Kristin, and sons J.P. and Trevor, have been lifelong parishioners. Our CME is known in the area as one of the finest.

Mr. Donald Weber (Assistant Organist)
Don Weber has been playing the organ for well over 50 years. He plays for the 4:00 p.m. Saturday evening Mass, as well as occasionally at other parish liturgical celebrations.

Mr. Karl Stein (Maintenance Staff)
Karl joined St. Michael's maintenance staff in 2006. Karl is responsible for the general cleanliness of the facilities as well as assisting groups using the facilities.

Mrs. Gloria Young (Rectory Staff)
Gloria has worked in St. Michael's rectory for over 20 years. Our resident "house mother," she helps to maintain the cleanliness and good order of the rectory, including church and rectory household laundry. She also helps with shopping and other household tasks.

Mrs. Kathy Simmers (Rectory Staff)
Kathy is the rectory cook. Joining the rectory staff in 2007, she takes care of all things in the kitchen and insures that our residents aren't malnourished. As anyone can see, she is quite successful at her job!
